Changing the email address of a signer
Depending on the status of the request there is a possibility to change the email address without cancelling the request.
Sent a sign request to the wrong email address, or has your signatory switched to a new one? No worries, this can be fixed! What you can do depends on the current status of the request.
The request hasn't been signed yet
As long as the request is still open, you can update the signatory's email address. Go to the open signing request, click on the signatory whose email address you'd like to change, update the address and save the change. The signatory will automatically receive a new request at the updated email address.
The request has already been signed
If the request has already been completed, the email address can no longer be changed, it's been recorded in the signing proof document. In that case, you can manually forward the signed document to the correct email address.
The request has expired
Did your request expire before the signatory had a chance to sign? Simply expand the signing term and change the email address or create a new request with the correct email address and you're good to go.
